The disturbing news of the tragic death of Tzvi Kogan has sent shockwaves across the international community, as authorities in the United Arab Emirates confirmed the discovery of his body. Tzvi Kogan, a 28-year-old Chabad Shliach in the UAE, went missing on Thursday, November 21, 2024, prompting a widespread search effort.

The Israeli mission in Abu Dhabi has been offering unwavering support to his family in Israel, as they come to terms with this devastating loss.

In a joint statement from the Prime Minister’s Office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the heinous murder of Tzvi Kogan is unequivocally condemned as an antisemitic act of terror. The State of Israel vows to pursue all avenues to ensure that those responsible for this despicable crime face justice for their actions.

The timing of this tragic event, just one week before the international Kinnush Hashluchim in New Jersey, only serves to deepen the sorrow felt across communities worldwide.

Kogan is the nephew of Rivki and Gavriel Holzberg, who were Chabad shluchim in Mumbai. Tragically, they were killed during a terrorist attack on November 26, 2008. Their Yartzheit is mere weeks away.

The loss of Tzvi Kogan will undoubtedly leave a void in the hearts of many who knew him, as they mourn the untimely passing of a dedicated individual who sought to spread positivity and faith throughout the world.

May we know no more pain.

May Hashem watch over us all.

Moshiach now!
