Walter Bingham Turns 102 !

Share

Walter Bingham is a German-Jewish Holocaust survivor, journalist, and longtime radio broadcaster whose life spans some of the darkest and most resilient chapters of Jewish history.

Born in Karlsruhe in 1925, he escaped Nazi Germany via the Kindertransport to Britain, where he was later interned as an “enemy alien.” After the war, he moved to Israel, served in the IDF, and built a decades-long career in media—most famously as a veteran host on Israel’s English-language radio.

Today he turned 102 years old and he continues broadcasting with clarity, humor, and moral conviction—becoming a living bridge between memory and modern Jewish life. His voice isn’t just historical; it’s a reminder that survival can become purpose, and testimony can become legacy
