Rabbi Yehudah Kaszirer is the director of Bikur Cholim of Lakewood. Yehuda was born and raised in Flatbush. His mother, Mrs. Suri Kazsirer, is known as a one-person engine of giving. The Kazsirer family was close with the Novominsker Rebbe, and Yehudah attended the Novominsker yeshivah. Prior to becoming director of Bikur Cholim, he a third-grade rebbi at a local cheder.

He made national news during the pandemic when Dr. Michael Joyner of the Mayo Clinic asked him to “do what you can” to collect as many samples of blood plasma as possible. 36 hours later, Yehuda boarded a jet with roughly 1,000 vials of blood stored in coolers, NBC reported: “It had been drawn from members of the community through a blood drive organized with military-like speed.”
